Judy Sierra has written over forty books for children, many of them in rhyme that has been described as rollicking and Seussian. She brings to writing her background as a storyteller and academic folklorist. Judy's books have won top honors in the field of literature for young people, including the Aesop Prize from the American Folklore Society and the E.B. White Read-Aloud Award from the Association of Bookseller for Children. Four have been named Notable Books by the American Library Association. Two of her picture books were New York Times best sellers, and many have won state and national Children's Choice Awards. Judy lives and writes in Portland, Oregon.
